India’s ONGC Partners With Norway’s Equinor
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has marked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Equinor ASA, the Norwegian state-claimed global energy organization, for energy investigation and environmental change moderation choices like Carbon Sequestration.
The MoU was inked on Wednesday (26 April) in New Delhi for coordinated effort and association in areas of upstream Exploration and Production, halfway, downstream and Clean energy choices, including Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS).
Equinor is the main administrator on the Norwegian mainland rack, present in around 30 nations around the world.
The MoU was endorsed during the visit of a significant level assignment of Norway to India. Association Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, ONGC CMD Dr Alka Mittal and Executive Vice President of Equinor Irene Rummelhoff were available now and again.
According to the understanding, both ONGC and Equinor will work together in the field of upstream oil and gas, halfway, advertising and exchanging, other than investigating further choices in low carbon fuel, renewables, Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) as well as Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) open doors in India.
“The MoU is legitimate for a very long time under which the two organizations have consented to cooperate in the region recognized,” the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said.
